Photo Lovecat Website Critique 2013

Due to the overwhelming interest last year, we ended up hosting two website critiques and the reception was great so we decided to do it again this year!

What:  Website Critique
When:  March 5th, 2013

I will be hosting the live critique along with Anne and Jennifer helping me in the chat while we view and chat about what submitted sites are doing right and what they could do better.

What we need is some submissions so this is where you take a deep breath and send your URL to us at photolovecat@gmail.com

We also need some comments here to let us know what time would be best for you?  1PM EST or 3PM EST?

PS:  We're thinking about doing a Google Hangout during WPPI for those of us who aren't going.  If you are interested, comment and let us know!  This will be more of a relaxed environment where we chat about whatever crosses our minds, be it pity parties because we can't go or celebratory parties because we're too busy to go... or gossiping about what that crazy person said on Twitter about WPPI.  We won't be there to host a real party so come to the virtual one instead we're calling IPPW.  I may even have some videos to share from past WPPI's...

Photographer Pricing Critique Webinar - Best Pricing Practices

Thanks to everyone who joined in on our Live Pricing Critique Webinar last week. For those who weren't able to attend, we're happy to say that we received permission to publish the price lists from REAL photographers shared in the live critique! The following is a Slideshare presentation of the slides used in the webinar. While it isn't as detailed as the live critique was, this simplified version allows for quick browsing and consideration. Please do remember that the price lists shared here are not meant to be examples of what you should do- only of what other people have done. We also need to give thanks to the photographers who were willing to put themselves and their price lists out there for critique- this wouldn't be possible without their courage and contribution.

Pricing Critique Live Chat - This Thursday

It doesn't seem to matter whether you're a newbie or you've been in business for years- price lists need to be revisited on a regular basis to make sure your profit margins are good, your clients are getting what they need, and you can stay in business for years to come.  While we've posted quite a few Tips on Pricing here on PhotoLovecat, this is the first time we'll be doing a LIVE critique of a few different price lists.

Hi Friends!! I just got back from Mystic 4 and next I'm looking forward to seeing many of you soon at WPPI! While I won't be presenting at WPPI, I will be hosting the Giveaway Gala along with the other lovecats and our sponsors, as well as organizing the launch of the Vegas Wedding Project! So many exciting things happening!! I can't wait!! Since I've been so busy offline outside of the blogosphere lately, I thought rather than taking the time to write another lengthy blog post, I'd just use that time to have a live discussion with anyone who's interested in knowing what I think about... well.... anything! My specialty is definitely marketing and management, but I'm happy to address any other issues that might come up as well. I might even be lucky enough to have some of the other lovecats join in on the conversation!! ;-) This is open to anyone who runs a freelance business, with the knowledge that I obviously have a greater breadth of experience in the photography world. Before realizing her passion for wedding photography, Anne spent 10 years working in finance, marketing, and management for everything from large corporations to small non-profits.
