I would not be afraid to go leave my job and pursue photography full time...and perhaps own an adorable coffee shop too. I need some place to edit my photos right?!
Teehee! This has been my motto for months - I have a sign that says it in my living room as a constant reminder that the fear of failure isn't as big as I make it out to be most times. It makes me dare to dream BIG.
Right now, I can honestly say that I am doing it. I love being a full-time wedding photographer! I'm working my way up to bigger dreams - maybe a studio someday?
I would go full time in my photography business. It would be great to contribute to my family and take some of that burden off of my husband’s shoulders. I think we both dream about switching roles on occasion. I've always been with the kids and he's always had the career. It would be a dream for both of us to have the freedom to get a little of both worlds.
If I could do anything if I knew I could not fail, I would rig a mega-lottery in my favor. Or, I would quit my job immediately and go full-time as a photographer.
Next question is; if you knew you had 1 year to live, how woudl you spend the time.... :) and the next logical question is,, why the Heck are YOU NOT doing that NOW!?!?!
To Kate: ("quit my job, shoot professionally, AND maintain the same quality of life that i have now... including health insurance and pto! ha!")
I'm right with you! That's exactly my fear, but I just put in my two weeks notice at my nice, comfy, full-benefits, big-company, safe-place-to-work job yesterday! EEK! I'm going to focus on my own photography business while working part time for another studio to make ends meet. "Sometimes you have make the leap first, and then the net will appear." I'm scared, but hoping for the best. YOU CAN DO IT!! :)
If I could not fail. I would start a busines to help stay at home Mom's pursue their dreams and start their own businesses. I would also start my own studio, a real in a building loft studio.
I would move from NYC to a beach town! Take singing lessons. (Tired of singing alone in the shower). Also, Buy $20,000.00 worth of photography equipment! Yikes!
